I've been in a crafting mood today. Started with some homemade finger paint. Got the recipe here. We made green, yellow and red. It turned out pretty well except it got a little thick. There's a picture below of what it looks like dried on paper. Evan didn't want much to do with it, but I had fun! If you decide to try your hand at it keep a close eye on it. It goes from liquid to thick really fast. Although the food coloring made for excellent color, I'm going to investigate and try to find something a little less staining.
In other news, I realized the other day that I needed something other than the flimsy cardboard box to hold toothpicks. I finished up a jar of minced onions while cooking the other day and came up with the idea below. I roughed up the side with sandpaper and then used Mod Podge to stick the fabric on. I turned the sides and edge under so they would be finished. I also stuck some cardboard in the lid so only one hole would be open. (See other picture.) I'm very pleased with how the project turned out. The only problem is...I can't get the onion smell out!! Trying baking soda right now, but I think it might be stuck forever.

I have a whole list of other things to t
